Responsibilities:

  • Operate Subsite locating equipment and/or Ditch Witch bore rig Promote and work in a team environment to achieve desired objectives.
    • Must consistently be a strong advocate of the Company, and always foster a positive image to all.
    • Comply with all company policies, regulatory safety regulations, and code requirements.
    • Notify construction manager of unanticipated field changes and suggest possible alternatives.
    • Able to observe, analyze, and take appropriate action to identify and correct potential workplace safety issues, hazardous behaviors and other areas of potential risk.
    • Ability to read blueprints.
    • When drilling is completed or not available must be able to assist crew members in placing underground conduit(s), fiber(s), etc.
    • Restore job site to conditions found prior to beginning work.
    • Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project to achieve documented goals and objectives.
    • Operate construction equipment.
    • Handle physically demanding construction duties.
    • Must always be eager to learn and grow, willing to accept direction and suggestions from any number of sources, as learning opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of directional drilling experience preferred.
    • Must be able to follow instructions as part of a team.
    • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, and reach.
    • Must be able to climb ladders.
    • Must be able to lift, carry, and place heavy object up to 75 lbs.
    • Must possess a valid Michigan Class A CDL license, or obtain one within 6 months of hire, with a clean driving record and be both insured and insurable.
    • Ability to work in ALL weather conditions; this includes extreme temperatures.
    • Must have experience with construction power tools.
    • Dependable, and able to communicate with supervisor.
    • Must have reliable means of transportation.
